Shelanu visits Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft

In the summer, Shelanu enjoyed a trip down to Brighton on a special visit to Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft.

The group were invited to lead different making workshops and to share their experiences as members of Shelanu. Thank you to Shelan, Rebecca and Amy for speaking to the visitors and answering all their questions, as well as taking part in an in conversation, something they had never done before.

The members led drop-in workshops in polymer clay jewellery and were part of the Future World event, an evening of world music, talks, craft workshops, drinks and good.

Participants were a range of ages and all enjoyed creating unique pieces of jewellery!

Shelanu had a brilliant time meeting the Migrant ESOL Support Hub and the Network of International Women for Brighton & Hove sharing a stories and experiences through a Stitching Place workshop.

We went to see the outside of Brighton Pavilion and enjoyed strolling around Brighton and visiting the beach.
