Last week we had our first session with ASIRT’s homework group which meets at Thimblemill Library every week. We are running five sessions with the children there in the lead up to Refugee Week.

We are introducing them to different materials and techniques in each session, exploring ideas of gifts and welcome to celebrate Refugee Week’s 20^th anniversary themes.

Last week we made penguin badges from polymer clay, a fun way to start the programme! We also began preparing the second session; origami crane mobiles.

We are also planning a banner to celebrate ASIRT and making people welcome! Watch this space…
