This week’s workshop with the ASIRT homework club was a bit quieter (because it was the half term holidays) which allowed us to spend more time one-to-one with each child.

For this workshop we introduced the children to origami folding and aimed to create hanging mobiles with four origami cranes.

The folds were a little bit challenging but by the end of the session each child successfully finished a mobile with four cranes! There were also enough cranes to make extra mobiles to be shown during Refugee Week or given as welcoming gifts.

Next time we’ll be making toy aeroplanes using clothes pegs!
